Driving is my route, Photography is my destination

Danial Emani

My journey began as a private hire driver for Addison Lee in 2012, where I found myself captivated by the city’s ever-changing beauty. This led me to pick up a camera, and soon, photography became my escape from the routine.

Over the years, I’ve faced challenges and embraced new opportunities, from self-publishing my photography book, ‘London 100-Years Journey,’ to selling photos on the London market, exploring different paths in photography, and venturing into event and wedding photography. These experiences, both triumphs and setbacks, have shaped my unique perspective and fueled my passion for capturing the essence of London.

My photography reflects my deep connection to the city, its people, and its stories. For the last decade, I’ve worked hard as a driver, meeting countless individuals during that time. Alongside my driving, I’ve captured millions of photos – for fun, personal projects, and for clients. This immersive experience has deeply connected me to the city and its people. Now, after over ten years of actively working in London as a driver and photographer, I’m ready to create my unique service, combining my in-depth knowledge of the city with my photography skills and vision, and my connection to London and its people.

I’m Dani Emani, and I invite you to explore my world through my lens. As a Driver-Photographer, I combine my love for London with my passion for photography to offer a unique and unforgettable experience.

About Driver-Photographer:

The 2020 lockdown was a strange and unsettling time. This unique period, with its reduced pace and unexpected downtime, provided an opportunity for introspection. During these quiet moments, I often sat down to contemplate new ideas and plan for the future. And so, the concept of Driver-Photographer was born.

By the end of 2021, I began by offering free photoshoots, honing my skills and developing my unique approach. Soon, I expanded my reach by selling photography packages on platforms like Airbnb Experiences and Fiverr, allowing me to build a portfolio and gain invaluable experience interacting with clients.

Of course, launching this unique service presented its challenges. Navigating Transport for London (TFL) regulations required obtaining the necessary licenses. I overcame these obstacles, securing the required licenses and streamlining my operations. Now, in 2025, after successfully navigating these challenges, I’m thrilled to offer my Driver-Photographer service.

It’s more than just taking photos or driving; it’s about crafting a fluid, personalized experience that celebrates the beauty of the city and the individuality of each client. Whether you’re discovering London for the first time or you are a Londoner, seeking a unique way to capture cherished memories, I’m here to ensure your adventure is effortless and unforgettable

Your Questions, Answered

Photoshoot Experience:

1. I’ve never had my photo taken. What should I do?

Don’t worry—almost everyone feels a little awkward in front of the camera. You don’t need to be a professional model to look great. I avoid rigid posing techniques and instead guide you through natural movements to help you feel relaxed and confident. My goal is for you to have fun and leave with beautiful, meaningful photos and memories.

My style is candid and lifestyle-based, capturing authentic moments that reflect your personality and story.

I specialize in photography, but I can take casual videos using my phone if needed.

Timing and Weather:

1. What’s the best time of day for a photoshoot?

Morning is ideal—the earlier, the better—for soft lighting and quieter surroundings. However, if you’re not a morning person, we can adjust the timing to suit your preferences.

The golden window for night photography is one hour before sunset to one hour after sunset. This time offers stunning lighting for vibrant and dramatic images.

Rain can add a unique charm to photos! We can work around the showers or embrace the weather with creative shots using umbrellas. If you prefer, we can reschedule the shoot for another day at no extra cost.

I’m available from an hour before sunrise to an hour after sunset.

If unforeseen delays (like traffic or weather) extend the shoot, there won’t be any extra charges. I ensure the session is completed as planned.

Clothing and Preparation:

1. What should I wear for the photoshoot?

I recommend wearing solid-coloured clothing without bold patterns or logos to keep the focus on you. Couples should consider complementary or matching colours, such as soft pastels. For those wearing high heels, I suggest bringing along comfortable shoes for walking or quick changes during the session.

I specialize in outdoor street photography, using natural light to capture authentic moments.

Booking and Cancellation Policies:

1. What’s your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change. You can cancel or reschedule your session for free up to 24 hours before the photoshoot. For cancellations made within 24 hours of the session, a cancellation fee of 50% of the booking price will apply

Yes, free rescheduling is available up to 24 hours before the session.
